Kelley and I have officially begun our adventure! This past weekend we got to travel to Atlanta (to hear how we had the trip paid for, check THIS out)
We got to fly there, which was awesome. The last time I was on a plane I was 4 and the only thing I remember is getting to eat waffles on the plane. So it was exciting, and slightly anxiety-provoking. But I really did enjoy it.

Kelley made sure I got a window seat. He's so great!
The point of going to Atlanta was to do Orientation and Support-Raising Training with Kontaktmission. We got to meet some really awesome people.
Allie and Rob and their daughter Alexa were the people who coordinated and teach the class/retreat. They were super friendly and helpful. They have been doing this training for 15+ years, so they are incredibly knowledgeable.
We also got to meet a super fun middle-aged man named Keith. He is just coming onto staff with Kontaktmission, and he really, really believes in the mission of the organization. He is from Joplin, MO, and was with us while a huge tornado was ripping through his town. Thankfully, his wife and four kids, as well as his house, were unharmed. Please keep him and the rest of the town in your thoughts and prayers while they are working through the hard process of cleaning up.
There was a young couple there as well, Kenny and Heather Haggard. They were super fun and incredibly genuine. We definitely enjoyed their company and getting to know them. They are gearing up for going to plant a church in Albania. It was encouraging to meet people who are in the same stage of life that we are, getting ready to do the same thing we are getting ready to do. It's nice to be reminded that we're not crazy!
Now that we are all trained up and we have game plan, the difficult and long process of support raising can begin. Traveling, emailing, calling, talking and lots of praying are going to quickly take over every spare (or not spare) minute we have. Although dollar amount and the process seem daunting, we are excited to see God provide and care for us through this process. We want to see people step out in faith to support us financially and in prayer. We want to see God's blessing come upon those who commit to us.
Please enjoy the site, read up on what we are doing, and prayerfully consider partnering with us in this new adventure.

Just so you know, I prayed for courage for both of you as you start support raising. It can get very overwhelming at times, but God will provide, I'm not just saying that. He really will. Keep on remembering how He has lead you from the beginnning. That always helps me when I am getting discouraged. I also prayed for boldness when you are asking people. It can be very daunting at first asking people to give up their hard-earned money, but it isn't for you. This is so the Irish can hear about their Creator and Savior! It is a VERY worthy cause! I hope the BEST for you guys!
